Exactly four and a half months following the previous coach's first press conference as the club's manager, his replacement the German coach faced the media at Ibrox for the first time.

The scale of the task facing him is widely recognized, considering Martin's turbulent and unsuccessful 123-day tenure.

The ex- Sheffield Wednesday boss was accompanied by chairman the chairman, along with the much-criticized duo of football director Kevin Thelwell and CEO Patrick Stewart.

However, what exactly did we learn from the young German's first public appearance as the club's manager?

The Manager's Main Priority - Winning is Everything

One thing came through clearly from Rohl's initial presentation in front of the local press - he recognizes the need to secure victories, and do so rapidly.

His predecessor Russell Martin managed just 17 matches and four months as manager, so the inquiry arose about what timeframe the new man believes is realistic to transform the underperforming squad.

Although deftly avoiding a specific response that might create future pressure, Rohl's message was very evident.

"With hope very quickly," he said. "This is crucial.
"In this business you have not much time. One can talk about long-term vision but we know it's about the short-term and that period is about winning games. This is what I demand.
"Another aspect remains obvious - I need all players to understand our intended to play. I come back to my primary message: victory comes first, entertaining football and it's together. By following this order, I believe that I'll stay very long at the club."

Pressure is Normal

Martin required security protection to exit the stadium after his final game in charge.

We've witnessed how hostile situations can become at football clubs when results are poor. Protests have almost become a regular aspect of the matchday atmosphere on each part of the city these days.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the question asked about which attributes the coach thinks he has that would enable him to cope, let alone excel, in among the most pressurized positions in UK soccer?

"I think pressure in football are standard," he commented. "One needs to understand that very quickly.
"I believe some people could reference my youth but I have been a decade and a half in this career. I experienced an excellent chance to be at Bayern Munich and serve as just the assistant coach, but I experienced the reality to manage a team and the pressure involved.
"You begin getting results and then certain people will say you must play attractive soccer. That's the next phase but precisely my intention. I enjoy those expectations and I look forward about what's ahead."

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had plenty of questions from the media for Thelwell.

Significant attention has concerned the hiring of Robbie Thelwell as recruitment chief, with supporters unconvinced about his qualifications for the position.

Nevertheless, he justified and clarified the decision to recruit Thelwell Jnr to the club.

"It's always awkward to listen and optically I think we all agreed when we took this decision to hire Robbie that he'd be viewed in a particular way," Thelwell said.
"The reality of circumstances is that we aim to attract the top talent to this club.
"My perspective on his professional path and situation is he didn't need my assistance in football.
"He's worked at Aston Villa as head scout, after which he moved to Norwich as head of scouting and then got promoted to development role.
"Before we hiring him, multiple top division teams sought to sign him. Our approach right at the start of proceedings was consult with the CEO, Andrew and vice-chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I was highly transparent and I think Robbie probably underwent a stricter process than anybody else employee by this football club.
"What I do know is that he will work constantly to be successful for Rangers and I'm looking forward to him demonstrating that he's going to be a valuable staff member for the club."

Additionally, Thelwell supported the signing of striker Chermiti, who arrived at Rangers for a reported initial fee of eight million pounds, having failed to find the net in 24 appearances for Everton.

It was Thelwell who brought the Portuguese young international to Merseyside from Sporting - once more for large funds in a fifteen million pound deal.

He was asked if he supports his multi-million pound purchase, who hasn't yet register in seven outings for Rangers.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell answered. "I think Youssef Chermiti represents who's possesses great ability.
"I haven't doubted him in any way. Similarly, I believe Danny will assist in get the best out of the player.
"These are initial stages for him, he remains promising prospect and naturally with young talents they occasionally require patience.
"But I'm certain over the course of his time here he'll demonstrate that he's a very, very good player."

The CEO Acknowledges Fan Frustration and Anger

Stewart was also in the media scrutiny, considering the criticism that has been directed his way by certain of the club's fans.

Additionally, there was a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the recent draw with Dundee United suggesting him - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before they were packed for them.

Similar to the sporting director, Stewart didn't avoid the topic.

"I completely appreciate the frustration and hurt that the supporters are experiencing because results recently haven't been expectations and no one is satisfied with those," he stated.
"The pain and frustration they feel is matched inside the leadership.
"Recognize that there must exist an outlet for those frustrations and in my role, that's me.
"I'm a focal point for such issues and my role as a
